Remote Pyramids

2021

Remote Pyramids is a project by Chicago-based artist Jan Tichy, commissioned for the 2020-21 Dallas Aurora Biennial. Set to foster collaboration and understanding in the face of immigration challenges, the original project explores community responses following Governor Abbott’s decision to withdraw Texas from the Federal Refugee Resettlement Program, and it connects resettled refugee teenagers from Vickery Meadow and Oak Cliff.
