Window Window

2021

Window window is an AR experience that playfully examines perspectives of seeing and being seen through metaphorical windows, both architectural and handheld.

As virtual frames interact with physical ones, the viewer’s vantage flips between outside looking in, and inside looking out. Our customary gazes through these windows distort and invert. Private spaces become public spectacle, while personal devices gain new exterior views. Blurring boundaries between interior and exterior, voyeuristic and intimate, the piece highlights how physical and digital windows shape identity. Window window invites viewers to reconsider the porous membranes between self and other, private and shared.
